Old Oak Common in 1970 > LPPC DSL BW 0994

On a Summer weekend in 1970, Peter Collins visited Old Oak Common shed just west of Paddington station. He was allowed to take some photographs around the remaining turntable and inside the shed and repair shop ('The Factory').

These superb post-steam shots capture the Western Region's locomotive types, both Diesel Hydraulic and Diesel Electric at rest and also under repair. From an immaculate Warship to a particlualrly grimy Hymek, the photographs capture what a diesel depot was like at the time.
